The Balade Gourmande de Région Dents du Midi, a much-appreciated flagship event! Epicureans, pedal effortlessly with your e-bike on our gourmet autumn itinerary!
In the midst of an alpine landscape with the Dents du Midi as a backdrop, this 30-kilometer trail, accessible to all levels, will introduce you to local gastronomy in autumnal colors. On the menu are a number of tasty stops to tantalize your taste buds, washed down with excellent Valais wines…or syrup for the younger ones!
This culinary experience is available exclusively on electric mountain bikes, or on mountain bikes for the more athletic.
Gourmet stops:
> Restaurant le Virage in Champoussin: Gourmet breakfast of fresh bread, croissants and homemade jam, accompanied by coffee/tea and fruit juice.
> La Cabane à Sucre in Les Crosets: chestnut cream crepes served with cider.
> Gourmet stopover with Nature en Conscience: Amuse-bouche with local herbs, washed down with house wines and syrups infused with aromatic herbs (the famous Suz’Alp, Noix, Achillée and much more!).
> Restaurant d’alpage de Tovassière in Morgins: Brisolée royale with products from the mountain pastures, accompanied by a glass of white wine.
> Restaurant Agritourisme Alpage du Vieux They in Morgins: Homemade squash and cream soup.
> L’Antre d’Eux in Champoussin: Digestif and gourmet coffee with Salée de la Vallée d’Illiez and mignardises.
Equipment required:
> Mountain bike helmet (mandatory)
> Sports shoes
> Sunglasses and sun cream
> Water bottle
> Waterproof windbreaker (in case of bad weather)
Rental of an e-bike:
> If you don’t own an e-bike, we can offer you a preferential rental rate.
> Three bike sizes available (download size guide below).
> Participants renting bikes must have third-party insurance to cover damage to equipment.
> E-bike rental includes helmet.
> Bikes are rented at the time of online registration.
> We recommend arriving 30 minutes early to receive your e-bike and prepare for the ride.
> Please note that the number of bikes available for hire is limited. Once the stock is exhausted, we invite you to contact local sports stores that also have e-bikes available (complete list of stores by clicking on the link below).
