ALPES’HUSKIES

Champéry

ALPES'HUSKIES is a 4-season sled dog tourism facility. It also offers adapted activities for disabled people and animal mediation.

WINTER ACTIVITIES

– Discovery mushing & sled/kart baptism, weather permitting (Champéry)

Comfortably warm in our Nordic lounge, discover the history of sled dogs and mushing, in the presence of a husky. Then sit on the sled for a lap around the track with a world champion dog team. Take part in the team’s harnessing and departure/arrival, stroke the dogs, take photos with them, chat with the musher. 1-hour experience with competition huskies, one person at a time on the sled. Activity suitable for people with reduced mobility.

– Husky-rando

Accompanied hike, harnessed and pulled by the strength of a dog, on an easy, relatively flat trail along a pretty river in the forest. 1h experience. Suitable for people with mild disabilities (no chair, good motor skills).

SUMMER ACTIVITIES

– Cani’Kart Adventure

Come and discover mushing and experience a first ride in a kart (wheeled carriage) pulled by a powerful team of 8 to 10 huskies. A fun, educational experience for the whole family. 1-hour experience with racing huskies, 1 to 4 people at a time on the karts. Suitable for people with reduced mobility.

– Cani-randonnée

In summer, there are three options: the short route (approx. 1 hour’s walk), the medium route (approx. 3 hours’ walk, with a gourmet aperitif) or the long route (approx. 5 hours, with a meal in the refreshment bar). The route is wide and relatively flat, making it accessible even to children. The activity can be enjoyed in all weathers. Suitable for the slightly disabled (no chair, good motor skills).

– All-terrain scooter carriage driving (2 wheels)

For this fun and sporting activity lasting around 1 hour, participants try their hand at driving an all-terrain scooter harnessed to 1 or 2 dogs. The Kickbike scooters are equipped with powerful brakes. This activity requires a good level of fitness to be able to help the dogs on uphill gradients.

– Half-day thrills (paragliding/cani-karting)
A morning dedicated to thrills, with a 1000m tandem paragliding flight with Val d’illiair paragliding school and a cani-kart tour, followed by a gourmet aperitif featuring the finest local produce.

Activities are only available by booking online with Alpes Huskies, subject to availability and weather conditions.
