Visitor NotificationRestaurant closed for renovation - Nomade (food truck) summer opening dates to come
Now undergoing extensive renovations, Le Centre is preparing to reopen its doors while keeping its culinary spirit alive through a nomadic restaurant and an exclusive private chef service, offering its exceptional cuisine in the comfort of your home.
A Chef at Your Home
While awaiting its reopening, Le Centre offers an exclusive private chef service. Antoine Gonnet, trained by Michelin-starred chefs and awarded a Michelin star in Switzerland in 2020, brings his expertise to tailor-made dining experiences: private dinners, cocktail receptions, or catering services. Whether delivered or prepared on-site, his refined dishes adapt to every occasion, with the attentive care of Amandine Pivault, a specialist in service and table arts.
A Nomadic Restaurant
Le Centre also ventures across the region with its nomadic restaurant. Initially set up on the restaurant’s terrace, it will later travel to different locations, participating in various events. As a true gastronomic ambassador of Champéry and the Dents du Midi region, it promises unique experiences in unexpected settings.
Antoine Gonnet and Amandine Pivault: Excellence in the Art of Taste
After training with Michelin-starred chefs such as Pierre Orsi, Arnaud Donckele, and Stéphane Buron, Antoine Gonnet distinguished himself in prestigious culinary competitions before settling in Champéry in 2018. His talent was soon recognised with a Michelin star in 2020.
By his side, Amandine Pivault, an expert in hospitality and service, ensures that every experience meets the highest expectations. Her journey has taken her through renowned establishments from Val Thorens to Corsica before bringing her expertise to Champéry.
A Renewal of Tradition and Modernity
Since the late 18th century, Le Centre has held a prominent place in Champéry. A classified heritage building, this iconic chalet has witnessed generations and key events, particularly from its historic announcement balcony. It was also home to Le Café du Centre, the village’s first restaurant, a true institution of hospitality and fine dining.
Now, after decades of existence, Le Centre is undergoing a transformation to restore its splendour while adapting to modern expectations. This project aims to preserve its soul while enhancing its comfort and functionality, ensuring that the spirit of sharing that has always defined it continues to thrive.
