The current exhibition is: Carlo Pellegrini
Come and discover the winter sports exhibition by Carlo Pellegrini (1866-1937) at the Galerie de la Tine. Italian-born artist who worked all his life in Switzerland (Champéry, Villars, Montana, Adelboden…). His modern, graphic style captures the skiers, tobogganers, bobsledders and skaters of the belle époque.
A must-see exhibition.
For almost 30 years, the Galerie de la Tine in Troistorrents has been organizing exhibitions by 19th- and 20th-century artists, as well as contemporary ones, in a very special setting: a listed chalet built in 1846 and restored (Swiss Heritage Award 1992), a bread oven and a barn in the spectacular setting of the Tine gorges in Troistorrents (three arched stone bridges).
Mountain, nature, discovery, sensitivity and strength are the main themes of the artists presented, whether they are well known, such as R. Hainard, E. Vallet, A. and F. Gos, or contemporary, G. Es-Borrat, M. Kozuck, P-Y. Gabioud, F. Egli.
Galerie de la Tine is also…
A 300 m2 permanent exhibition of sculptures, chalet furniture, folk art, paintings and rustic objects from the 17th to the 20th century.
