‘Savolaire’ Blue Trail / Rando Parc Morgins

Morgins

Closed

The Savolaire track is a wide, easy trail with a gentle slope and beautiful views.

As you leave the Place du 6 Août car park in Morgins, turn left and follow the wide track until the sunny Savolaire Plain (Champarin) for some breathtaking views.

From here, head back up across the field to pass in front of the Buvette de Savolaire chalet (closed in winter). Take an immediate left for a short climb up the hill to reach the Swiss Alpine Club chalet. A slight descent brings you back to the Col du Madzé.

From here, turn back uphill to climb through the fields (do not take the flat snowshoe path) to join the red trail called Abérieu. The last part of the trail takes the ridge towards the top station of the gondola lift.

Once you’ve made it to the top of the Foilleuse, take the ski slope back down to the centre of Morgins..

SIGNS
The trail is marked with yellow diamond-shaped signs (with a blue dot) up to the top of the Foilleuse.

Please take note and follow these important safety instructions. At the start of each trail, a sign indicates whether it is open or not. If the trail is closed, this can indicate lack of snow or dangerous conditions. Taking a closed trail is at your own risk. Open or closed, the trails are marked but not patrolled. We strongly advise that you carry, and know how to use, avalanche safety equipment (avalanche transceiver, probe, shovel, and emergency blanket).
