The Refuge de Chésery invites you to experience alpine life at its most authentic!
Built in the 19th century, the Refuge de Chésery was originally a barn. This structure was renovated in 1987 to become a welcoming mountain hut, and was managed as such by the Es-Borrat family for 21 years.
In 2008, the Grenon family eventually took it over, maintaining the refuge but also selling their own local, homemade specialities. Wiliam Grenon began keeping his sheep in the Chésery alpage in 1982, so this is the perfect farm-to-table shop for his produce.
The hut is also a stopping place on the famous GR5, Grande Traversée des Alps hiking itinerary.
