From Morgins Lake, the Têtes road climbs to a bird's-eye view of Morgins from the Refuge du Corbeau.
Start at Morgins Lake
Parking at the Franco-Swiss border or take the ski bus to the lake.
TRAIL MARKINGS :
Follow the pink winter hiking signs to the restaurant ‘Le Corbeau’.
Walk up the Route des Têtes (first tarmac section). After the bends in the Têtes chalets area, the route will turn towards the left into the forest on a wide, groomed path. As you walk, the the mountains of the Abondance Valley will come into view. The gentle climb takes you to the restaurant ‘Refuge du Corbeau’ where for a restorative rest stop.
For the descent, you can go back the same path or follow the variant.
VARIANT: (see the route of the variant under multimedia)
The variant is steeper than the normal route of the lake. It is a loop from the centre of the village which almost follows the snowshoe route n° 22 (just after the restaurant take the shortcut through the chalets instead of going up to the Ecottis ski lift before going back down by the Sépaz road).
