This intergenerational, people-friendly gathering place is designed to bring relaxation, conviviality, and community back to the heart of Morgins.
Covering some 1,000 square metres, this temporary installation is a testimony to the municipality’s determination to breathe new life into Morgins’ village centre. It is the first step in the Morgins Demain urban planning project, a development strategy intended to change the face of the resort over the coming decades. In summer, the square is haven of rest and relaxation for the whole family – with parasols and deck chairs, limpid blue pools in a stylised clearing, and childrens’ games. It is also a welcoming rest stop for hikers and bikers, with a free E-Bike charging station.
In winter, it becomes a magical forest of frosty fir trees, fairy lights and icy igloos.
Morgins’ ephemeral, temporary village square is about collectively imagining and building a legacy for future generations, starting with a more pleasant and harmonious living environment for residents and guests alike.
