Film music – The virtuoso accordion
After a few bursts of opera to open, this evening will pay tribute to the film music in which Italian composers of the 20th century excelled. Would Il était une fois dans l’Ouest, Le Professionnel or La strada have remained in our memories without the music of Morricone or Rota?

Duo Nuances
Duo Nuances” was founded in 2005 by pianist Clémence Buirette and accordionist Jérémie Buirette. Committed to making classical music accessible to all, and eager to introduce the accordion in its noblest form, this duo performs their own transcriptions and arrangements of composers such as Vivaldi, Bach, Rossini, Brahms, Piazzolla… with great mastery of their instruments and a complicity that characterizes them. These two virtuosos offer an original and surprising duo, at the heart of unusual soundscapes. Their music is free, melodic and inspired, showcasing the multiple nuances their instruments are capable of. They have given numerous concerts in France and abroad.

Clémence Buirette
Clémence Buirette is a French pianist and choral conductor born in Nîmes. At the age of 6, she entered the Conservatoire de Nîmes, where she studied piano, followed a few years later by cello. Nine years later, she was awarded the Grand Prix de la ville de Nîmes in piano soloist, as well as her music studies diploma. Clémence continued her studies, taking part in numerous workshops with such piano greats as Jacques Rouvier and Olivier Gardon. She then turned to piano accompaniment, continuing her training at the CNR de Boulogne-Billancourt, then at the CNR de Lyon. At the same time, she directs a polyphonic ensemble of 70 choristers, a vocal ensemble and a men’s choir.

Jérémie Buirette
Jérémie Buirette is a multi-faceted French accordionist driven by discovery, diversity and musical quality. He began playing the accordion at the age of 5. A few years later, he decided to explore a new approach to the instrument by studying the chromatic bass accordion. He entered the CNR in Aix-en-Provence, then the CNR in Dijon. At the same time, he studied the contemporary repertoire with Max Bonnay, professor at the CNSM in Paris. From 2005 to 2007, he prepared for international competitions with Frédéric Deschamps. He won the World Champion title in Washington (USA) in 2007, and the Vivian Vivio Stolaruk prize the following year, also in the USA. Jérémie has also been a member of SACEM since 2011.
