Rainbow Run

Champéry

This no-stakes race is all about fun!

This untimed race of up to 5 KM is a unique event that celebrates health, happiness and individuality.

The Rainbow Run can be done running, walking, hopping – it doesn’t matter, as long as you’re having a good time. No need to be an athlete!

Every 600m of the course corresponds to a “color zone” (green, yellow, pink, blue…) where our volunteers will sprinkle you with 100% natural cornstarch-based color powder. Dressed in your best white T-shirt, you’ll then have to cross all the colored zones before crossing the finish line – as colorfully as possible, of course!

Practical information:
– This race is as much for adults as for families and children, and for runners and walkers alike.
– The aim is simple: fun before competition!
– Everyone starts at the same time at 4:00 p.m. (RDV in front of Champéry’s Place de jeu at 3:30 p.m.).
– Park your car in the large parking lot by the cable car
– Race cancelled in case of bad weather

Recommended equipment :
– Wear “non-damage” clothing, as colors can stain. White T-shirt preferred, if possible
– Don’t hesitate to wear fun accessories (buoy, cap, sunglasses, fluorescent accessories, etc.).
– A bottle of water.

Information on coloured powders:
– Eyes: no risk to your eyes! For people who use contact lenses, we recommend the use of glasses. If you get any in your eyes, don’t hesitate to rinse your face with water.
– Clothing: the powder is water-washable, so it can be washed off clothing after use.
– Mouth and nose: Breathing: the powder is made from corn starch. It does not irritate the throat or lungs. For people with asthma or respiratory problems, we recommend the use of a protective mask.
– Hair: No risk to hair, which can be easily rinsed after using the powder. Bleached hair, which is more sensitive, should be protected.
– Skin: no risk to the skin, even after several hours in contact with your skin. After a good shower, you’ll have no trace of the colored powder.
– Stands maintained in case of bad weather
– Race cancelled in case of bad weather
