The best downhill mountain bikers face off at the World Championships in Champéry!

The Valais is gearing up for an exceptional year in 2025 with a sporting calendar packed with mountain bike events! Several international-level races will be hosted by Valais resorts, including the UCI MTB Downhill World Championships in Champéry from Tuesday September 2 to Sunday September 7.

The Portes du Soleil is renowned for its top-quality bike parks and numerous black runs. The Champéry “World Cup” track is undoubtedly the most renowned for its demanding technicality. Its route, punctuated by natural obstacles, is a real challenge: steep sections, roots, jumps and tight bends. As long as it is vertiginous, this track puts riders’ technical and physical skills to the ultimate test! It has already welcomed the best international riders at international competitions such as the European Championships in 2024, and promises to put on another great show in September 2025!

In addition to giant screens to follow the races, exhibition stands, spectacular Trials performances, family entertainment, initiations and concerts will entertain the public at the bottom of the track in the entertainment village located in the Grand-Paradis parking lot in Champéry.
