Piano recital “The Years of Pilgrimage in Italy”
It was in an intellectual, artistic and amorous fever that Franz Liszt wrote the Années de pèlerinage cycle. The second year is devoted to Italy, where he spent two years in the company of Marie d’Agoult. The lovers stayed successively in Bellagio, Milan, Venice, Modena, Florence, Bologna and Rome. Of course, we come across a few gondolas and folk songs, but this second collection is above all inspired by the sublime forms of Italian art: the painter Raphael, the sculptor Michelangelo and the writer Dante are summoned for a rainbow of emotions ranging from exaltation to contemplation.
A rare pianistic experience that the intimate atmosphere of the Temple should make unforgettable!
