Take an afternoon trip to South America with this workshop.
Participants will be accompanied in the making of the “tortafritas” dough, watch them being baked and receive a theoretical introduction to Argentinian folk dances, explaining the links with the various regions and currents.
Participants will then be guided step by step through the typical positions and basic movements of these dances, enabling them to experience one of the most popular dances: the “Chacarera”.
A well-deserved break will allow them to taste the “Tortafritas” accompanied by the famous mate. This tasting will be followed by an introduction to the “Bailecito” dance, where you’ll learn about the use of the scarf and the meaning of its movements.
Practical information:
– Meet at the parking lot in front of the Val-d’Illiez train station.
– Participants with prior knowledge of Argentine folk dances will be offered more sophisticated exercises.
– No previous notion of dance is necessary, only curiosity!

Equipment required:
– Comfortable dance clothes
– A square scarf (approx. 40x40cm)
The animation is cancelled in case of bad weather conditions.
Reservations possible until 12:00 pm the day before the event.
