Chef Antoine Gonnet: inspiration and excellence
After earning his professional culinary certificate (CFC) following two years of training with Chef Éric Lépine in Montmerle-sur-Saône, Antoine Gonnet set his sights on the finest dining establishments. He honed his skills under Michelin-starred legends such as Pierre Orsi in Lyon and Arnaud Donckele in Saint-Tropez before refining his craft at La Grande Cascade in Paris and under Michèle Rochedy and Stéphane Buron at Le Chabichou in Courchevel. Rising through the ranks to become Sous Chef, he participated in several prestigious competitions, reaching the finals of the Taittinger competition and securing second place at the Trophée des Chefs et des Étoiles de Mougins. After a brief stint in England, Antoine and Amandine settled in Switzerland in 2018 to take over the restaurant Le 42 in Champéry. Their talent was soon recognised, earning them a Michelin star in the Swiss guide by 2020.
