To make sense of it all, in 2018, we created a label called Saveurs Dents du Midi which certifies the typicity and quality of these goods.

Named after the traditional wooden basket farmers carried on their backs, the La Cavagne shops are your one-stop emporiums for everything homemade, farmfresh and locally sourced. The two shops, one in Troistorrents, the other in Champéry, overflow with delectable specialities including robust cheeses, organic fruit and vegetables, cured and smoked meat, yummy jams, crusty bread, delicious wines and more!
Named for the characteristic wooden baskets which alpine farmers traditionally carried on their backs, this local cooperative shop offers a wide variety of regional products in an effort to promote local agriculture and fair trade.

Did you know that many of the local farms and dairies welcome customers right at their doorstep? Stop by to see how their products are made or purchase the day’s picnic basket right on the spot. Here are three ‘alpages’ and farms that would be happy to welcome visitors.
Inaugurated in 2023, this goat farm is run by Hubert Marclay, who is also responsible for the Lapisa mountain pasture. It offers a range of goat products of exceptional quality.
Chèvrerie de la Grandzette / la Parse
Located at an altitude of 1,000 meters, Ferme de la Crettaz is run by brothers Julien and Nicolas Mariétan, who make cheese from October to June, adding value to their milk in the heart of the valley’s mountains.

Taken over in 2022 by Véronique and Mickaël Blanc, this family-run operation, where cheese has been produced for over 25 years, embodies know-how handed down from generation to generation and enriched by the help of their two children.
Ferme de Mimont
The Lisats Farm is run by the 3rd generation of the Ecoeur family. They sell their organic products through their website or directly at the farm.
Ferme des Lisats AOP / DDM 1
On the Route des Rives, opposite Champéry, this family-run farm turns milk into cheese products and continues a tradition of producing raclette and other raw-milk mountain cheeses.
Ferme des Rives
Operated since 2022 by Adrien Ecoeur, this farm at an altitude of 1,150 meters is dedicated to cheese production and perpetuates local traditions.

This charming agro-tourism farm offers a wealth of surprises and traditional activities. Join us for a visit to the farm for cheese-making demonstrations or to watch the goats being milked.
